During this period, E<\/span>rmita de Sant Joan Baptista<\/span><\/b> was built, next to the fortification, on Sant Joan Mountain. As a result, these people, who were known as “<\/span>indianos<\/span><\/b>“, later immersed themselves in the culture of the American continent and built homes in their native town, in this case Blanes, with a most striking and different architecture.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Nowadays, you can take a route to see the different Indian buildings, including <\/span>Can Gallet<\/span><\/b>, one of the most striking houses at Carrer Esperan\u00e7a, owned by Mayor Bonaventura Puig Torrent; and <\/span>Can Mass\u00f3<\/span><\/b>, at <\/span>Passeig de Dintre<\/span><\/a>. Also, <\/span>Can Alemany<\/span><\/b>, built in 1882; <\/span>Ca l’Andreu<\/span><\/b>, a house that was the summer residence of the poet Joan Maragall; <\/span>Can Vieta<\/span><\/b>, located on Passeig de la Mestran\u00e7a; <\/span>Can Panxo gordo<\/span><\/b>; <\/span>Casa l’estrella<\/span><\/b>; <\/span>Can Nonell<\/span><\/b>; <\/span>Ca la Teresina Savoia<\/span><\/b>, owned by Teresa Ferrer and Doctor Joaquim Albareda; as well as <\/span>Can Bitlloch; Can Pa i alls<\/span>, Can Cap\u00f3 and Cal Ros.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n One of the most representative places in the town of Blanes is the large rock that begins the beaches of the municipality from the south, called <\/span>Sa Palomera<\/span><\/b>.
