But not only economically, but also, over the last few centuries, as a <\/span>tourist attraction<\/span><\/b>. Its coasts are ideal destinations to enjoy the beach, the sun and nature, as well as the local gastronomy.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n One of the most unique places that stand out along the Catalan coastline are its <\/span>lighthouses<\/span><\/b>. That is why, in this publication, we are going to explain their characteristics and where to find them, specifically, those located on <\/span>Costa Dorada<\/span><\/b>. It is in the town of <\/span>Sant Carles de la R\u00e0pita<\/span><\/b>. Although it does not currently have its original structure, due to the condition of the tower, in its place you will see a large concrete structure, built in 1975. The <\/span>old lighthouse<\/span><\/a> has not been lost but has been rebuilt and you can visit it in <\/span>Port of Tarragona<\/span><\/b>. It retains its original name: ‘Far de la Banya’.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In the same town of Sant Carles de la R\u00e0pita, there is also<\/span> Punta de la Senieta lighthouse<\/span><\/b>, dating from 1864. This lighthouse is part of a square building, from which the tower, with its respective light, protrudes.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In <\/span>Deltra de l\u2019Ebre<\/span><\/b> area, it is also worth mentioning the <\/span>lighthouse on Buda Island<\/span><\/b>, which is currently submerged in the depths of Mediterranean Sea, due to the rise in sea level over the last few decades.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Another of the municipalities with this structure is <\/span>Deltebre<\/span><\/b>. <\/span>Fangar lighthouse<\/span><\/b>, also known as <\/span>La Faroleta<\/span><\/b>, is the most mythical lighthouse in the whole Delta. Its aesthetics have changed over the years, due to the deterioration caused by the weather. It is located on <\/span>Punta del Fangar<\/span><\/a>, an area that resembles a desert.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>In the south of Catalonia there is also <\/span>Cap Tortosa lighthouse<\/span><\/b>, which is in the sea, 2 miles from the coast.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row custom_padding_last_edited=”on|phone” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” width=”100%” custom_padding=”0px|||||” custom_padding_tablet=”|60px||60px|false|true” custom_padding_phone=”|40px||40px|false|true” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.17.4″ _module_preset=”default” width=”100%” min_height=”181.8px” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_padding=”3px||||false|false” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n If we continue along the coastline of Costa Dorada to the northeast, we will find <\/span>Cambrils lighthouse<\/span><\/b>, a red structure, built in the mid-20th century, which stands out in the town’s port. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Salou <\/span><\/b>also has one of the lighthouses with one of the most beautiful settings in the area, <\/span>Cap Salou<\/span><\/b>. Its lighthouse, located 43 metres above sea level, is located on <\/span>Roca de la Falconera<\/span><\/a>, an area with several viewpoints from where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Finally, don’t miss <\/span>Torredembarra lighthouse<\/span><\/b>, one of the most recent lighthouses, which came into operation in 2000.
