Barcelona experienced significant economic growth, with a total <\/span>impact<\/span><\/a> of more than <\/span>18 billion euros<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The facilities that were created during these previous years have been reconverted into spaces of great use today, such as, for example, the <\/span>Palau Sant Jordi<\/span><\/a>, the <\/span>National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC)<\/span><\/b>, the <\/span>Olympic Canal of Catalonia<\/span><\/a>, the <\/span>Picornell Swimming Pools<\/span><\/b> and the <\/span>Espa\u00f1a Industrial Park<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In addition, the economic return from the Games enabled the implementation of urban development projects that were already under preparation.
